ZAP resident athlete Dave Jankowski today was named by USATF to the 2011 B.U.P.A. USA XC Team to compete in Edinburgh, Scotland on 1/8. The US Team consists of Galen Rupp, Matt Gabrielson, Steven Furst, Dathan Ritzenhein, Bobby Mack, Ed Moran & Scott Bauhs. The team will be running an 8 kilometer challenge race against Northern Ireland, England and a European select team. Jankowski, 26, is in his 2nd year as a resident athlete at ZAP. In hist first 18 months he saw personal bests at 1,500m, mile, 3,000m, 5,000m & 10,000m. He was also 5th at the USATF Outdoor Championships (2010) in the 10,000m and was 4th at Twin Cities in his debut marathon in October (2:16.15).
