In her first two months as a resident athlete at ZAP Sarah Porter has already made a big impact with her 5th place showing at the US 10 Mile Championships. In the midst of her New York City Marathon buildup Sarah took to the streets in Minneapolis/St. Paul to compete against some of the country's best over 10 miles. Sarah posted a very quick time of 55:01 for the race and finished in 5th place overall, the highest finish at a US Championship in her young career.

Joining her in Minnesota was 2nd year athlete Chris Clark who was taking part in the Men's US 10 Mile Championships. Clark continued his impressive streak of racing with his finish at the 10 miler coming off the heels of his first ever top 10 finish at a US Championship. Over Labor Day weekend Clark finished 10th at the US 20k Championships in New Haven, CT. On a hot day in New England Clark covered the 20k distance in 1:02:26. He followed up that race with a 16th place showing in a deep US 10 Mile field where he posted a time of 48:21.

2nd year ZAP athlete Esther Erb picked up her first national title by taking to the trails in nearby Laurel Springs and competing in the US 10k Trail Championships. Erb won the race by over a minute traversing the technical course in 50:30. She followed that win up with a trip to New Haven with Clark where she took 16th place at the US 20k Championships.
